Developing good study skills at home at an early age is critical to a lifetime of success in school. College Coach will explore different learning styles and how parents can encourage their children to use their strengths to adopt good study habits at an early age. At the end of the workshop, parents will better understand how to motivate their children, encourage reading and writing at home, create a successful work environment, and most importantly, how to infuse active learning into everyday situations so their children can enjoy greater success in school.
Middle School Matters (5th - 8th Grade)
We all remember those trying middle school moments…our first locker, our first honors course, and our first middle school crush. Led by educational experts, this workshop will explore the modern day middle school atmosphere and its opportunities and challenges. In these pre-high school years, a parent’s role may be more important than ever, as children learn about prioritization, organization, and the social and technologically-driven world around them. Learn how parents can play a crucial role in helping their children organize their busy lives and stay academically motivated.
