Why I joined College Coach:

After I had my son, I wanted to move closer to my family in New England. My original goal was to stay in admissions. The more I heard about College Coach and the more I talked to members of the education team, the more intrigued I became by the opportunity. I was drawn to the idea of answering different questions all the time rather than the same ones I answered over and over at Penn. I was interested in the idea of working with a greater variety of students and parents, and, as a new mother, the flexibility was incredibly exciting.

What I like best about working at College Coach:
I came to College Coach for the flexibility and the challenge of using my admissions knowledge in a new way. I stay at College Coach because of the variety of ways in which I apply that knowledge, whether doing a presentation, editing an essay or working one-on-one with a student. The flexibility is still one of my favorite parts of the job, but I enjoy the actual work with families just as much.

What I am passionate about:
One of my least favorite parts of my job at Penn was seeing bright, passionate, engaged students make bad choices, whether choosing the wrong topic for an essay or making poor curriculum choices or not presenting their activities in a meaningful way in the application. I love that in my role at College Coach, I can help students avoid making those same mistakes.
